CONGRATULATIONS MARK!

Yesterday was Mark's graduation for his Certificate in Education. You must now all address him as Mark Waites Cert. Ed.

The graduation ceremony was in High Wycombe, at the Swan Theatre which is next door to the Buckinghamshire and Chilterns University College who officially awarded Mark's Certificate. The ceremony was at 5pm and it took us (me, Mark, his parents) about an hour and a half to drive down there. We parked at the multi-storey and walked over to the university campus so that Mark could get his robes on. He had his picture taken by the official photographer and then we walked over to the theatre.

The ceremony took about an hour. It was all people with education qualifications, from midwifery to higher education. I tried to take a picture of Mark shaking the hand of the Director of the university but it came out a bit blurry:



They gave him his certificate on the way out. Then he went and took off his robe and silly hat and we drove back up to Bedfordshire. Mark's parents took us out for dinner, to a restaurant in Woburn Sands, which was very nice.

So WELL DONE MARK, I know how hard you have worked and I am so proud of you.
